The Education Department has announced that there will be no extension of the summer vacation in Kashmir. All schools across the region are set to reopen tomorrow, July 18, 2024, after the scheduled break.
This decision comes despite requests from several quarters for an extended vacation due to the ongoing heatwave. Earlier, a 10-day summer vacation had been declared early, extending until July 17, 2024.

Directorate of School Education Kashmir, Tasaduq Hussain, made it clear in a live session on Rifat Abdullah’s Facebook page that there will be no extension of the summer vacation.
